Great job Evelyn
As a child in elementary school, I was afforded the small pleasure of walking the half-block home for lunch. On those cold, snowy winter days in Nebraska nothing could compare to a steaming bowl of Campbell's Soup when I came in the door, my face reddened from the bitter air. A grilled cheese sandwich with Campbell's Tomato Soup was top on my list of favorites. Of course, slurping noodles from my spoon while enjoying Chicken Noodle Soup was a close second.
Being on the limited income, my mother knew all the tricks of the trade when it came to making the most of her trips to the grocery store. Campbell's Soup, the famous meal-stretcher, might be one of the most versatile products on grocery store shelves.
In this day of trying to make every penny count, being able to "expand" resources rather than "expend" them puts a smile to the face of frugal consumers.
Campbell’s innovative marketing strategy has lead to easy-open cans with pull-tabs, no can opener required (saves on electricity!) As a result of clever Campbell’s soup marketing efforts, right down to the packaging, Campbell’s lets me put together a delectable feast in no time flat!
"Mmm Mmm good" is always uttered as a note of complete satisfaction!
The Campbell's website has tons of recipes to help with meal planning, another way that the company is there for the consumer.
Now, Campbell's has introduced V8 soups, a nutritional approach to snagging home economists like me to create tasty and healthy meals that remind me of when I was a kid – another marketing stroke of genius.
Do you still eat the soup your mom served you? What brand loyalties, like Campbell’s, might have transcended the generational divide?

I am a Campbell soup fan from way back and to mess with my soup by adding the V8 logo is just plain wrong. I could be incorrect on the point, but Campbell’s had the healthy boxed soups under a different name earlier this year before the V8 appeared on them. I like those soups…but I am not thrilled about trying the soup labeled V8 (odds are they are the soup thing) but V8 is a major turn-off for me.
