This was a very well written article. While I do agree with you on some of the statements I also disagree. It would be nice if there were no side…

Very well written. I could not agree more there is no such thing as a "happy period" other than they confirm you are not pregnant. These ads are probably…

Green is a new trend that is often viewed as boring or "hippie". Never having seen these commercials, going off of your description, it seems that…
The other day my husband and I were in our room watching the newest episode of our favorite comedy on cbs.com when the next commercial came on, we did a double take and almost fell off the bed laughing. As part of a new campaign CBS Cares, they had a commercial featuring Sharon and Ozzy Osborne. Sharon looks at Ozzy and asks him if he has a secret fantasy and his reply is, “Yes, I would like go to NYC and get a colonoscopy!” Then a spokes man (I don’t remember his name but I know that he was the news announcer on the Laugh-In show in the 70’s, yes I’m that old..) comes on and says that “CBS is offering a sweepstakes that includes a three day stay in New York City at a luxury hotel where you can watch the sun rise over Central Park the kick back and relax and enjoy a colonoscopy procedure on CBS.” Then he invites you to http://www.cbscares.tv to enter the sweepstakes.
Well like I said we are not exactly spring chickens, my husband will be 50 in September so I signed him up; hey, you never want to turn down a free medical procedure especially when it includes a free trip with spending cash!
CBS is really trying to convince us that they care with ads that run the gamut of topics such as ; Autism, HIV/AIDS, Native American Month, Osteoporosis, Smoking, Stress and Tolerance just to name a few. If you visit the web site you can read articles and view the many videos that address these topics.
Only one person per household can enter so if you are of an age to need a colonoscopy then enter, you might get a free trip to New York City. The blurb accompanying the entry that contains the contest rules states that if you think you see the Prince of Darkness standing beside you with the doctor – it is just the drugs talking.
And remember CBC Cares.
Check out the ad. Is this an effective campaign?
