This was a very well written article. While I do agree with you on some of the statements I also disagree. It would be nice if there were no side…

Very well written. I could not agree more there is no such thing as a "happy period" other than they confirm you are not pregnant. These ads are probably…

Green is a new trend that is often viewed as boring or "hippie". Never having seen these commercials, going off of your description, it seems that…
Where is it? Where could it be? Like a person obsessed I run around the house looking frantically. I yell at the wife, where did you put it? She yells back where did I put what? The Cabela’s catalog! For sportsmen and women alike, this catalog categorizes the four seasons into two; Spring/Summer and Fall/Winter edition. The Cabela’s catalog has been very successful in targeting the American sportsman. Where else could two brothers start out selling fishing flies out of a garage and end up becoming one of the largest retailers of sporting goods in the U.S.
Out of the corner of my eye I notice the letter “C” under my wife’s copy of Cosmopolitan. Aughhhhh, I quickly grab the magazine and wipe it off hoping it won’t be infected by fashion models. After glaring at my wife I retire to the house library where a man can lock himself away from the world. At peace I turn to the fly rod section and let my mind wander as I imagine having one of the works of art on page 65 and casting on a pristine mountain lake. It is refreshing to see a company promoting American heritage and tradition.
Today’s market has become very selective at times and seems to promote products with sexual innuendoes to make a sale. Since when does toothpaste become sexy? Do only the young and super models use toothpaste? Cabela’s promote their products to people who enjoy the outdoors. Even when you turn the page to the undergarments section you won’t find any wings on models. Perhaps companies can borrow a page from Cabela and realize that most of us are common ordinary people and that’s alright. Offer a product with modesty and don’t sacrifice moral issues. Promote products for the common people; promote family values you might be surprised at just how many are out there.
What products or brands are advertised without using sex appeal?

I agree with you that companies don't need to include sexual innuendo to successfully market a product. You can have a good marketing idea to promote this product and make it look attractive to others without being obscene or offensive! I agree you should offer a product modestly, promoting wholesome family values. Luckily there are some companies out there today who still promote their product in a decent way, without showing the voluptuous model can promote a product in a wholesome way, and show people enjoying life. The company I used in my recent Marketing Class was a good illustration of this.
