This was a very well written article. While I do agree with you on some of the statements I also disagree. It would be nice if there were no side…

Very well written. I could not agree more there is no such thing as a "happy period" other than they confirm you are not pregnant. These ads are probably…

Green is a new trend that is often viewed as boring or "hippie". Never having seen these commercials, going off of your description, it seems that…
Although commercials can appeal to our emotions, taste buds, cause us to purchase things we really do not need, and in some cases can be downright comical, I have begun to get a bit disturbed with the restaurant advertisements that we see daily. They draw you in with the enticing, and overly large portions of food. The ads are so good, you can almost smell and taste the objects through the television set. Needless to say, that once you get there and purchase that menu item, the depiction of that item of choice, is not quite like what was shown in the advertisement.
Seems like I'm always taking the bait, and eventually end up getting caught.
For instance, Taco Bell has a new featured item. It's called the Triple Steak Stack. It is a piece of flat bread that's said to contain triple layers of 100% USDA selected steak, covered with a delicious melted cheese blend. The commercial grabs your attention with a guy sitting on the couch, holding this enormous sandwich he can barely hold with two hands, with stacks of beef steak protruding from the sides of the sandwich covered with cheese. He eventually meets his demise, when the apparent owner of the sandwich tackles him off the couch. It was very funny, but the best part was the sandwich, which at this time had captured the eyes of my husband and I. We headed to Taco Bell to get the Triple Steak Stack!
When we got home to enjoy our meal, we were met with surprise and dismay, the Triple Steak stack, actually had a few sprinkles of meat overpowered by the cheese blend. Now I know times are hard these days, and companies do cut some costs a little, but why advertise a product as having triple steak, when you cannot afford to put that amount on the product? Cutting on costs should not jeopardize the quality of the product or your valued customers’ confidence in your product. Although the taste of the meat was quite flavorful, I could not help but feel a little short changed, or better than that, I feel deceived.
Is it considered false advertisement if the product that you purchased, is not the same as it is on the advertisement?
