Very deep emotions.. I do like old spice also but have forgotten the pleasant smell it has, soothing and refreshing to the senses of smell. Somehow…
Ah, warm, luscious pasta -- wrapped up in a bread bowl. My mouth started to water as I watched Domino’s present steamy bread-bowl pasta dishes on TV.
Pasta primavera, chicken carbonara, Italian sausage marinara, three cheese mac-n-cheese and chicken alfredo. The pictures were stunning. My mouth was watering. I found myself carried away with hunger…then my brain turned back on.
With my brain functioning again, the commercial translated to a plate full of carbohydrates and fat and sugar.
To me, the ad silently promoted diabetes and obesity behind a mask of delectable “comfort” food.
When I looked again at the beautiful presentations, I saw white flour pasta -- not whole grain. Meats and sauces chock full of “bad” fats. And to add insult to injury, you can add bacon, pepperoni and any other high cholesterol meat for ultimate cardio destruction.
Alas a miracle, broccoli as a topping…Hallelujah!
The glycemic index of this food is off the charts and all for $5.99! I’m glad it’s so cheap to put one foot in the grave. A pile of fat, sugar, carbs and calories all for less than six bucks.
Dominos is promoting this type of food at the same time the government and health officials are goading adults and children into losing weight and fighting obesity.
What do you think?
