Let’s be honest, no one likes to sit through commercials. However, it was late at night and I had no idea where the remote was, so even if I wanted to, I couldn’t fast forward. As I’m watching this commercial, I’m not even sure what it’s for. It opens up with two guys presumably in their early 30’s, walking out of a bar. A few seconds later, they walk into a pizza joint and place an order for delivery, which definitely got me laughing. I’m almost certain it has to be an ad for a pizza company. In the next scene, you see the pizza guy driving his car, while the two guys from the bar are riding along with him.

They still haven’t mentioned what the ad is for. It took me a couple of seconds before I was able to figure it out.

The two guys who walked out of the bar were drinking, and rather than drive themselves home, they ordered a pizza and wanted it delivered to their house. Since the pizza delivery guy was sober, and was going to their house anyway, they figured they would grab a ride from him. I think this is a great commercial, because it shows how to be responsible when you are drinking. I always hear at the end of alcohol commercials, please drink responsibly. What I rarely hear is, please don’t drink and drive. I think this commercial was funny, and it definitely grabbed my attention. Thank you Captain Morgan.

It shows that you can still have fun and go to a bar, but if you are drinking you should have someone else drive you home, even if it is the pizza delivery boy.

Rather than just saying please drink responsibly, why don’t more alcohol companies actually show people being responsible by not drinking and driving?
