Growing up just about every holiday that had some type of significance behind it was either acknowledged or celebrated. For instance, Christmas –many believe that this holiday is the day of Jesus' birth or that Easter is the day of His resurrection. All holidays whether it be Christmas, Easter, Halloween, Valentine's Day, May Day or even Ground Hog Day has some type of importance behind it, wouldn't you agree? Well not everything that is being advertised is true.

Every spring a large number of believers come together to celebrate Easter. Places of worship are filled to capacity with people dressed in their new Easter outfits. Ministers and priests declare the resurrection of Jesus Christ with great reverence and joy. After the religious ceremonies are over, the children are treated to an Easter egg hunt.

Along with the celebration, you have advertisements of cute little bunnies in Easter baskets with colorful eggs surrounding them. There are even some department stores that run commercials of their best Easter outfits with the shoes and hats to match.

Flash back to spring celebrations in Babylon over 4,000 years ago, in Asia Minor 2,500 years ago, and in pagan Rome in 100 A.D. Did some of our Easter celebrations originate from pagan worship of false gods? I mean seriously, I wouldn't want my children towing around an Easter bunny with eggs because the holiday may have descended from the oldest pagan symbol of fertility. Really, who wants their kids to celebrate reproduction? They see enough sex in ads!

Many Christians believe Christmas to be one of the more important holidays and they blindly follow its observance. The wild shopping season, “Black Friday,” the plethora of Christmas commercials get people into the swing of the holiday.

Jesus’ birth is celebrated on December 25th - winter time in Palestine. It is a bit harsh so that makes traveling difficult and uncomfortable. If winter was so bad to flee, it appears very unlikely that the shepherds would be sleeping in the fields while tending their flocks. And for that reason the birth of Christ could not have been on that day.

Have you ever wondered why the colors red and green had to be the colors of Christmas, instead of them being blue and orange? Well, red and green are the Yule occult colors, so there's no doubt that "Christmas" is just another pagan feast. Yule means infant, little child or sun god who was born from Isis the "queen of heaven" at this same time of the winter solstice.

And parents, stop lying to your children about Santa Claus. The much loved hero of this holiday, who knows if you've been naughty or nice, is nothing more the Winter Stag god or the god of the hunt. Oh yeah and his eight little reindeer which are symbolic of the Stag gods as well.

Remember this when shopping for goodies and costumes…As for Halloween it represents the God of the Dead, the symbols of it are the jack-o-lantern (idol to the lord of the dead), the lighted candle within it is for the return of spirits, the witch symbolizes the high priestess of satanic worship and the black cat is associated with witchcraft and stands for the witch’s spirit guide or demon.

May Day and Valentine's Day are holidays the represent fertility or reproduction and make sure not to dance around the May Pole as well. Ground Hog Day better known as "Imbolc" on the Celtic calendar means in the belly which refers to the pregnancy of ewe's of ewe's milk.
