Very well written. I could not agree more there is no such thing as a "happy period" other than they confirm you are not pregnant. These ads are probably…

Green is a new trend that is often viewed as boring or "hippie". Never having seen these commercials, going off of your description, it seems that…
While watching a recent Green Giant commercial, it brought back memories of vintage commercials. Listening to the announcer say that the vegetables are picked and frozen at the peak of freshness takes me back to my childhood. Watching the “Jolly Green Giant” walk through the valley to make sure the vegetables are fresh made me want to eat only Green Giant vegetables.
In later years when the “ Little Green Sprout" was introduced I saw this as a socially responsible way to try and get children to eat more vegetables and to convince parents that the company was committed to giving them only the best products. Considering the fact that most commercials aimed at children are promoting junk food it makes me happy to know that in the past the Green Giant and the Little Green Sprout made it seem fun to eat vegetables.
Nowadays a lot of commercials are advertising that there are vegetables in every serving of their products, but Green Giant was the first to make it seem fun to eat veggies. I have eaten Green Giant corn and peas throughout my childhood and I still eat them to this day. The new products by the Green Giant are equally as delicious and easy to prepare. Whenever I watch a Green Giant commercial, I become that little girl who is still fascinated by the Valley of the Giant.
Do your kids eat their veggies? How could commercials help?
