Today, The Walt Disney Corporation is meeting this dream. Millions of children and parents visit the Walt Disney theme parks every year. Along with making kids happy, the Walt Disney Company is also a large contributor to the economy, with its many programs to support the earth.
The Walt Disney Company is a socially responsible corporation because they strive to make the world a better place, to conserve the earth and to allow children the opportunity to get involved. Among the ongoing projects at Disney are; Disney Friends for Change: Project Green, Disney Planet Challenge and Disney Worldwide Conservation Fund.
When introducing Disney into the market place, Walt Disney had many ideas on where he wanted his company to go. He wanted to be a strong company, with a strong ethical background. From the beginning, Disney has been contributing to funds and projects that improve awareness and the earth. Getting children involved, is the beginning to inspired adults who contribute to the earth.
